Family and Friends,
several years, I again write to those of you who have provided funds to
restore our historic Getzendanner Cemetery in Frederick, Maryland and/or who
were at our Family Celebration in Frederick in 1997.
Our efforts to restore our Cemetery, coordinated so well by Mike
Getzandanner in Frederick, should please all of us, scattered as we are
throughout the USA. Now
we have a final need of an endowment-like fund to maintain what we have

WE NEED TO MAINTAIN

Getzandanner, thankfully, continues to be willing to coordinate and help
maintain our cemetery. However,
we should not expect him to pay for maintenance expenses, such as mower gas,
fertilizer, weed killer, or unexpected major maintenance needs.
What is needed is an endowment-like fund whose interest and capital (if
necessary) can be used to maintain our cemetery.
YOU ARE BEING ASKED FOR A GIFT FOR OUR
can be a one time gift or given in installments at convenient times for you.
We will need generous giving to accomplish our needs.
None of us are wealthy, but by again responding together, we can meet
our objective. Please use the
enclosed "Intention Form"
to accompany your gift or to let us know of your commitment.
It will be helpful to have these returned by the lst of June, if
of us will be giving our gifts as a memorial to Susan Getzendanner of New York
City who was a victim of the September 11th
Twin Towers disaster. You
might have met her, her parents, the Joseph Getzendanners, her brother, Thomas
and family, her sister, Lydia and family, at our Family Celebration in
Frederick. Perhaps others of you
will want to provide your gift as a memorial to another family member or
I conclude this cemetery appeal letter, I thank you for your previous and
present interest in our family, and in our efforts to maintain as a family shrine,
our Historic Getzendanner Cemetery in Frederick.
